After 5:0 in Europa League: Freiburg travels to RB Leipzig

SC Freiburg close out the eleventh matchday of the Bundesliga with an away game at RB Leipzig. After a clear 5:0 win in the Europa League against FK TSC Bačka Topola from Serbia, the club from Bremen will be looking to pick up points in the league on Sunday evening (7.30pm/DAZN) after two recent winless performances. However, SC have usually struggled against the Champions League participants from Saxony. Freiburg's last win to date came at home on October 26, 2019. Nicolas Höfler and Nils Petersen, who has since retired, scored in a 2-1 win. Sport-Club have never won in Leipzig.

The defensive performance against Bačka Topola and the return to form of some players have given the club renewed confidence. Talents such as Noah Weißhaupt and Merlin Röhl are on the upswing. However, established players such as Roland Sallai, captain Christian Günter and Maximilian Philipp are still missing.

SC Freiburg's last triumph against RB Leipzig in Bundesliga occurred on October 26, 2019, with goals from Nicolas Höfler and Nils Petersen securing a 2-1 victory at home. Despite the impressive performance and resurgence of talents like Noah Weißhaupt and Merlin Röhl, Freiburg faces a challenging task in the Bundesliga, as they have yet to win in Leipzig.
