Affirmed Judgment Against Thuringian AfD Politician for Mistreatment of Harmless Individuals

As a law enforcement agent, Czuppon lodged accusations against two individuals in 2019, charging them with slander and fabricating lies, following his election to the Thuringian Landtag for the AfD. Subsequently, he allegedly found himself embroiled in legal proceedings due to his initial complaint. Prior to this, a complaint was lodged against Czuppon himself after he wore a Thor Steinar brand shirt, often seen in far-right groups, at a memorial event in Buchenwald.

However, the First Senate of the Thuringian Higher Regional Court has since dismissed both the defendant's and prosecution's appeals against the District Court's verdict in this case as baseless. The District Court had earlier upheld the ruling of the Erfurt Magistrates' Court and turned down their appeals.

The Thuringian AfD politician, Czuppon, found himself in legal trouble due to his actions against two innocents, accused of slander and fabrication. Despite being a member of the Thuringian Parliament, he faced consequences for his actions in a Jena court. The Higher Regional Court in Thuringia affirmed the verdict against Czuppon, rejecting both his and the prosecution's appeals as baseless. This event highlights the accountability of all men, regardless of their political affiliations, to the law, as shown by the fine imposed on the AfD politician.
