An AfD lawsuit against the 2021 domestic intelligence report will be heard at the Weimar Administrative Court on Tuesday (10:00 AM). The party is taking legal action against three sections in the report. It alleges that the AfD exhibits a "form of extreme Islamophobia" and that it is accused of "attacks on the principle of the rule of law" and "historical revisionism".

The 2021 report also mentioned the Thuringian AfD state association as a "proven right-wing extremist endeavor" for the first time. However, the party is not currently pursuing legal action against this general classification, according to co-state chairman Stefan Möller.

It is uncertain whether a decision will be made on Tuesday, according to a spokeswoman for the court. However, an announcement date is likely to be set in a few weeks.

In spite of the AfD's decision not to challenge their classification as a right-wing extremist endeavor in Thuringia, they are actively seeking Protection of the Constitution against allegations of extreme Islamophobia, attacks on the rule of law, and historical revisionism in the 2021 domestic intelligence report. Despite the uncertainty of a decision on Tuesday, the court is expected to announce a date for deliberation within a few weeks.
