An aerial bomb has been successfully defused in Lower Franconia. According to the police, specialists from the explosive ordnance disposal service in the district of Würzburg discovered the unexploded bomb on Wednesday morning. Just three weeks ago, a similar aerial bomb from the Second World War was defused right next to the site in Giebelstadt.
The area was secured by the police and fire department so that the demolition expert could defuse the bomb. According to the information provided, there was no danger to the population at any time. An evacuation was not necessary.
