"Lower Saxony saw all fields expedited around mid-May, delaying potato plantation for up to three weeks. Tom-Pascal Pielhop, an agricultural expert, predicts lower winter cereals and rapeseed yields than the previous year due to the belated, weather-dependent sowing cycle. Hailstorms caused harm to around 800 hectares of apple orchards in the Alten Land.

To mitigate dry spells in the future, farming must store more water, according to the discussion. This method involves capturing large volumes of water to prevent flooding and utilise it for irrigation and replenishing groundwater in times of water scarcity."
