Church - Advent reception Nordkirche: Fehrs on current topics
Around 350 invited guests from politics, business and society are expected to attend the North Church's Advent reception at St. Catherine's Church in Hamburg on Thursday (6 p.m.). Bishop Kirsten Fehrs will address current topics in a speech, a church spokeswoman announced. Fehrs has been the acting chair of the Council of the Evangelical Church in Germany since Annette Kurschus stepped down in November.
The guest list includes the Vice President of the German Bundestag, Aydan Özoğuz (SPD), the Second Mayor Katharina Fegebank (Greens), the President of the Hamburg City Parliament Carola Veit (SPD) and Hamburg's new Police Commissioner Falk Schnabel.
