According to the investigators, the 15-year-old was found on Monday evening at the riverbank in Worms-Rheindürkheim. The 34-year-old mother had previously reported to the police in Pirmasens that she suspected her daughter had been killed. The investigators believe the crime was committed on Saturday evening. A search eventually led them to the body.

The autopsy of the body was scheduled for the following Tuesday. The investigators searched the apartments of the involved parties and the father's car. According to the police, there is no connection to a homicide case in Hesse, Bensheim, where a woman is still missing. A body was found at a gravel pit lake over the weekend.
