Adolescent discovered deceased alongside Rhine river in Rhineland-Palatinate; authorities apprehended parents.
There's speculation that the defendant supposedly planned to murder their teenage daughter due to disagreements over her lifestyle, as stated. It's reported that the two were kept in separate detention facilities.
As per reports, the 15-year-old was discovered at the riverbank in the Worms Rheindürkheim district on a Monday evening. The 34-year-old mother had earlier contacted the Pirmasens police, expressing her suspicion that her daughter had been murdered. The incident is believed to have taken place on the Saturday evening. A search eventually led the investigators to the body.
The autopsy of the body was scheduled for Tuesday. Investigators also conducted searches at the homes of the parties involved and the father's vehicle. According to the police, there's no link between this case and a missing persons case in Hesse, Bensheim, where a woman in her 40s is still unaccounted for. The body of the missing woman was found in a gravel pit lake over the weekend.
