Adler Mannheim without forward Bennett for several weeks
Adler Mannheim will have to do without forward Kris Bennett for around four weeks. The 27-year-old Canadian will have to take a break due to an abdominal muscle injury, the German Ice Hockey League club announced on Friday. "Kris is one of the pillars of our offense with his speed, wit and scoring ability. His absence is bitter and will be felt on several levels," said sports manager Jan-Axel Alavaara. With eight goals so far, new signing Bennett is Mannheim's second-best scorer of the season so far behind national striker Matthias Plachta.
Despite Bennett's absence due to an abdominal muscle injury, Adler Mannheim's Ice hockey team will continue to compete in the DEL. Regrettably, the void left by Bennett's absence, with his eight goals making him the second-highest scorer for Mannheim in the DEL, will be challenging to fill in the upcoming weeks.
