In the Saxony region, the weekend anticipates temperatures hovering around 30 degrees Celsius, packed with sunshine, much like a summer heatwave. As per the German Weather Service in Leipzig, Friday will predominantly be cloudless, with temperatures soaring from 27 to 31 degrees. Slim cirrus clouds might make an appearance in the sky. The mountains could peak at 27 degrees.

Saturday's weather forecast suggests temperatures rising from 30 to 33 degrees, with the mountains touching 30 degrees themselves. However, the forecast warns of an increase in cloud coverage as night falls on Sunday, potentially bringing rain and thunderstorms in the early hours.

Sunday continues with gloomy skies, occasional showers, and powerful thunderstorms that should subside by midday. According to the DWD, temperatures could achieve up to 26 degrees, while the mountains fluctuate between 19 and 24 degrees. As the evening approaches and turns into Monday, temperatures plummet to between 13 and 9 degrees.

The high summer weather in Saxony is anticipated to continue on Saturday, with temperatures reaching up to 33 degrees Celsius. Despite the approaching autumn, the region is still experiencing the heatwave-like conditions of 'high summer'.
