Christmas traffic - ADAC warns of heavy traffic in Saxony-Anhalt
Drivers in Saxony-Anhalt must be prepared for heavy traffic and traffic jams before Christmas. Especially on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, many traffic jams are to be expected on the highways, the ADAC announced on Monday. The Autobahn 2 and A9 will be particularly affected, it added.
In Saxony-Anhalt, many travelers will be heading off to their families, skiing vacations or to the city centers from Thursday, as the Christmas vacations begin. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will be generally quiet on the main roads. Return traffic will then set in on Boxing Day, but increasingly only after the holidays.
