Actress Ruth Maria Kubitschek passes away
Starting her acting career in 2013, she appeared in the movie "Frau Ella" alongside Matthias Schweighöfer and August Diehl, receiving public recognition with a Jupiter award. Born on August 2, 1931, as the eldest of four siblings, her family relocated from Komotau, Czech Republic to Saxony-Anhalt following WWII. Pursuing her passion for acting, Kubitschek was schooled in Halle an der Saale and Weimar. In 1959, after a theater engagement, she sought refuge in the western world.
In 1966, Kubitschek gained recognition through the Francis Durbridge series "Melissa", leading to many more appearances on TV.
