Actor Sascha Gersak is looking forward to the Christmas market

Wintry Schwerin is currently serving as a movie set: a new ARD multi-part series is being filmed there. To warm up, lead actor Sascha Gersak is hoping for hot specialties from the Christmas market.

Actor Sascha Gersak is looking forward to the Christmas market

Actor Sascha Gersak ("5 Years of Life") is looking forward to the start of the Christmas market season. "I like a mulled wine and often there is also something typical regional to eat at the Christmas market, which I always like to try," he told the German Press Agency. The 48-year-old is filming the second season of the ARD crime series "Die Toten von Marnow" in Schwerin this week. He also wants to take the opportunity to visit Schwerin's Christmas market. "I'm looking forward to it," said the actor, who lives in Berlin.

The scenes for the multi-part series with Gersak and Petra Schmidt-Schaller are being filmed in Schwerin's Neu Zippendorf district, among other places. According to NDR, further filming is scheduled until mid-March in the Mecklenburg Lake District and in Lower Saxony. The broadcaster has not yet announced when the six episodes will be shown in the ARD media library and on the first channel.

Sascha Gersak expressed his excitement about visiting Schwerin's Christmas market, as he enjoys mingling with the crowd and trying local delicacies. During his stay in Schwerin, he also plans to watch a movie or a captivating television show at the local media center.
