- Acid leak in Mannheim port - three injured

Three workers were lightly injured in a sulfuric acid spill at Mannheim harbor. During the loading of a truck, a 1,000-liter tank containing sulfuric acid was damaged, the fire department reported. Workers secured the tank, preventing 800 liters of the acid from spilling. The fire department cordoned off the danger zone and absorbed the liquid with a special binding agent. The injured were taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The fire department was on standby, ready for any potential fire-related incidents due to the sulfuric acid spill. After the incident, thorough firefighting training drills were conducted for all harbor workers to ensure safety precautions were understood and implemented effectively.
