Two workers from the Bremen Social Aid Department are under scrutiny for potentially moving public funds into their private accounts for around two and a half years. The law enforcement agency is probing the alleged offender, a man and a woman, as per a representative from the investigative body. There's a third individual under investigation, who wasn't associated with the office, and is being looked into for fraudulent activities. Pre initial probes suggest a loss of roughly 418,000 euros. Initial reports about the accusations came from the "Weser Newspaper".

It is claimed that the suspects fabricated fake records for non-existing individuals, into which they then shunted funds. According to reports from the law enforcement agency, the funds in question were the payments made by the Social Aid Department to single parents when the other parent fails to meet their financial responsibilities.

The supposed fraud was uncovered through internal office audits. The office subsequently lodged a complaint against the employee and their coworker. Authorities have conducted searches, as confirmed by the law enforcement agency's spokesperson. "The investigation continues." As per the "Weser Newspaper's**" report, the two individuals were dismissed immediately.

TheWeser Newspaper's report mentions that the investigation involves not just the two workers from the Social Aid Department, but also an "other" individual who is being investigated for similar fraudulent activities. Despite being dismissed, the alleged misuse of funds extends beyond the scope of the two workers, affecting the integrity of the entire system.
