District of Karlsruhe - Accident with three injured: Drivers trapped in cars
Three people have been injured, two of them seriously, in an accident in oncoming traffic on the main road near Graben-Neudorf(Karlsruhe district). For an initially unknown reason, a car crossed into the oncoming lane on Monday and collided head-on with a second car, according to the police. The second car skidded and crashed into a third car.
The drivers of the first two cars were trapped in their vehicles. The fire department had to use scissors and a spreader to free them. The 41-year-old driver of the second car was flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the car that drove into oncoming traffic was seriously injured. The third person involved in the accident was slightly injured.
