Rhine district of Neuss - Accident with bus without passengers: four injured
The driver of a bus without passengers caused an accident involving three other vehicles in Grevenbroich (Rhine district of Neuss) on Wednesday morning. However, none of the four drivers were seriously injured, according to the police in Neuss. The bus, driven by a 63-year-old man, collided with two cars at the junction of a main road and shortly afterwards collided with a third oncoming car. A few hundred meters further on, the bus crashed into a street tree, which was uprooted. Finally, the bus skidded onto a field and got stuck.
The fire department in Grevenbroich was on the scene with 40 people and secured the accident sites, which were spread over a length of several hundred meters. According to the police, the bus driver was seriously injured, while the other drivers suffered minor injuries. The police have begun investigating the cause of the accident.
