Accident with a blood alcohol level of 2.8: tree trunks pierce car windshield
A drunk driver crashed his car into a truck carrying tree trunks on the highway near Hilpoltstein (Roth district). The logs partially pierced the windshield of the car, as the police reported on Friday. The 46-year-old driver and his co-driver, who was also drunk, were slightly injured. They were taken to hospital.
According to the police, a breath test on the driver showed 2.8 per mille. The officers confiscated the driver's license of the person responsible for the accident. The truck driver remained uninjured. The accident on Thursday morning caused damage of around 10,000 euros.
In Central France, another tragic incident occurred on a highway, involving alcohol and traffic. A driver, both intoxicated and inexperienced, collided with a lorry carrying tree trunks, leading to minor injuries and significant property damage.
