Traffic - Accident on highway with four injured - lots of debris

At an accident on the A3 highway towards Cologne involving four vehicles, a man sustained severe injuries. Three other people were lightly injured near Leverkusen-Opladen exit in the early hours of Friday night, according to the fire department report. The Autobahn section was closed until morning to recover the debris. The four injured individuals were taken to the hospital. In one case, a Rettungswagen tire was damaged by debris, and the lightly injured patient was then transported in another vehicle.

In the early morning hours, two cars collided, causing one of them to lose its engine block. A third car ran over this car part and overturned, a police spokesperson said. According to the fire department, a fourth vehicle was also involved in the accident scene.

The accident on the A3 highway towards Cologne resulted in significant traffic disruption. The blockage extended to the Leverkusen-Opladen exit in North Rhine-Westphalia. The fire department was called to handle the situation, including extinguishing small fires caused by the vehicle accidents. On the freeway near Langenfeld, another vehicle accident occurred, causing minor traffic delays. The debris from these accidents posed a hazard to other vehicles on the road. Despite the multiple accidents, emergency services worked diligently to clear the road and assist any injured individuals, such as the person transported in a different car due to damaged Rettungswagen tires.
