Accident involving two trucks on the A9: over 100,000 euros in damage
An accident involving two trucks has caused damage of over 100,000 euros. According to initial police findings, the 38-year-old driver of an articulated truck swerved to avoid hitting a possibly unlit and very slow-moving articulated truck on the Autobahn 9 near Gefrees (Bayreuth district) on Monday morning. According to the police, the 38-year-old man steered to the right, but scraped the right side of the other truck with the left side of his vehicle. The trailers of both trucks were torn open.
Neither driver was injured. The clean-up and recovery work is ongoing. The A9 remained closed at the scene of the accident for the time being.
The accident on the A9 in Upper France has disrupted traffic significantly. Regrettably, such incidents often lead to a series of traffic accidents due to congestion and reckless driving.
