Crime - Abuse: Partial confession by former deputy mayor
The former deputy mayor of Lünen, Daniel Wolski, who is in custody for sexual abuse allegations, has admitted to individual acts. He had partially confessed to the police, a spokesperson for the public prosecutor's office in Bochum said on Thursday. However, he had also described some of the incidents differently than he had been accused of.
Wolski was questioned by the police last week. However, the public prosecutor's office does not have a detailed interrogation protocol, only a summary, the spokesperson explained. It is therefore unclear what he has confessed to and what he is denying. The public prosecutor's office expects the investigations to be concluded in the near future, it said. Several media outlets had previously reported.
The honorary local politician was taken into custody at the end of October. According to the current state of the investigation, he is alleged to have abused young people and a child in nine cases in return for payment. In one of the cases he is accused of, he is said to have paid 40 euros, in another case with clothing worth around 150 euros. In the case of the child, the alleged offense took place virtually, in the other cases during personal meetings, the public prosecutor's office reported after his arrest. According to the investigators, around 40 data carriers with child and youth pornographic content as well as chats with alleged victims of abuse were also found during a search in the spring.
His defense lawyer did not want to comment on the allegations at the time and was initially unavailable for comment on Thursday. Wolski had resigned while in custody.
