In the Görlitz 2 district, the Green Party's parliamentary group leader Franziska Schubert could only claim 3.4% of the votes. The incumbent Minister-President Michael Kretschmer (CDU, 47.2%) triumphed over the AfD's Sebastian Wippel (39.4%).

Despite these challenges in nearby districts, Green Party candidate Alexander doppelmayr performed remarkably well in the Dresden 1 district, securing 16.5% of the votes, placing second behind the CDU's Sebastian Heil (32.1%).

The Green Party's success in Dresden 1 contrasted sharply with the results in other districts, showcasing robust support for environmental policies in the city of Dresden.
