Aareal Bank disappears from the Frankfurt Stock Exchange
Following the takeover by financial investors, Aareal Bank will disappear from the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The last day of trading on the regulated market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange will be next Tuesday (November 21), as the commercial property financier announced in Wiesbaden on Friday.
"Despite our withdrawal from the regulated stock market, we will continue to communicate transparently and maintain high disclosure standards," assured CFO Marc Heß.
The financial investors Advent and Centerbridge as well as the Canadian pension fund CPPIB had taken over Aareal Bank this year. In September 2022, the Wiesbaden-based bank's share had already been removed from the small-cap index SDax.
After the takeover, Aareal Bank's presence will no longer be seen in the Frankfurt real estate market, as it exits the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The new owners, Advent, Centerbridge, and CPPIB, will likely focus on real estate investments with their acquisition of the bank.
