Third-tier competition: - Aachen renews agreement with promotional manager Backhaus.
Promotion team Alemannia Aachen has renewed the contract of their head coach Heiner Backhaus. Backhaus, who accepted the position in early September 2023 and led the club to a strong championship in the Regionalliga West, has now signed a new agreement lasting until June 30, 2027.
"It's a great privilege to be training such a fantastic team, and we can all be pleased with what we've achieved this season," Backhaus mentioned in an official statement on Thursday. "Now we can move forward with lots of consistency and security. I'm excited to return to Tivoli Stadium and compete in League Three!"
