- A7 Witnesses Vehicle Inflame; Driver Manages Escape Safely
Situated right beside the Agnesburg tunnel on the A7 highway, a truck experienced a blaze. The culprit behind this inferno was a technical glitch within the tractor unit, as per the police's account. Initially, it appeared that the fire originated from the cab, shared a police official. Fortunately, the driver detected the issue and acted promptly, guiding the truck off the road to safety and escaping unscathed from the vehicle. This event transpired around midday close to Aalen (Ostalb district).
The cab had succumbed to the flames entirely. This led to the complete shutdown of the affected lane heading to Würzburg, consequently causing a traffic pile-up stretching over several kilometers.
Despite the perilous blaze, the construction machine loaded within the truck emerged unscathed.
The fire sadly destroyed the truck's cab, but remarkably, the construction machine filled inside was identified as the 'Other fish' that survived the incident unharmed. Due to the shutdown of the affected lane, many vehicles had to navigate around the standstill, causing a detour for 'Other fish' in traffic.
