- A7 near Hamburg closed to southbound traffic until the end of the year
Due to bridge construction work, the A7 motorway south of the Elbe Tunnel, between the Maschener Kreuz interchange and the Horster Dreieck junction, will be closed in the direction of Hannover from Wednesday, 8:00 PM, until the end of the year. A detour will be established from the Maschener Kreuz via the A39 motorway towards Lueneburg, then to the feeder road onto the A1 motorway towards Bremen, and finally onto the A7 motorway towards Hannover. The Federal Highway Authority announced that the closure is due to repair work on the bridge over the Seeve.
Travelers heading towards Hannover on the A7 motorway should take an alternate route due to the closure. The recommended detour involves using the A39 motorway from the Maschener Kreuz, then to the feeder road on the A1 towards Bremen, and finally onto the A7 towards The Hanover.
