A young man stands before the court in Heidelberg for the murder of his ex-girlfriend
The two were supposedly a couple last year. When the girlfriend wanted to break up in November, there was reportedly a first attack. According to the prosecutor, the then 17-year-old attacker punched the girl in the face with his fist, hit her on the back of the head and back.
He is said to have stopped only when the girl's mother entered the room. The girlfriend is reported to have suffered a nasal bone fracture, fractures of the jawbone, hematomas, and cervical and thoracic vertebrae contusions.
After the murder attempt in January, the defendant is said to have attacked two police officers during their pursuit and resisted execution officers. In Seesen, Lower Saxony, during the escape, he is also said to have collided head-on with another car, whose driver suffered a skull-brain injury.
For the trial, which is taking place behind closed doors, dates have been set until mid-August. Thirty-seven witnesses and three experts have been summoned.
