A 24-year-old pedestrian was severely hurt in a collision with a city bus on a federal highway near Aachen's main train station on Tuesday. She was rushed to the hospital, and doctors haven't ruled out her life yet, according to the Aachen police.
The incident occurred in the afternoon when the young woman was trying to cross the busy B1. The authorities have sent out their accident investigation team to determine exactly what happened. One witness is said to be traumatized by the incident. Consequently, the B1 in front of the main train station had to be closed for several hours, causing major traffic congestion.
