- A section of the A44 near Kassel closed after a truck accident
There was an accident on the A44 motorway near Kassel between the exits Kassel-Bad Wilhelmshöhe and Zierenberg (Kassel) where a man was seriously injured. According to the police, there was a rear-end collision between two trucks.
The rear driver was trapped as a result of the impact and had to be cut out of his vehicle by rescue services. He was seriously injured and taken to a hospital by ambulance. A rescue helicopter was also on the scene but not needed for further rescue operations.
The section of the motorway was fully closed in both directions for the accident investigation. The extent of property damage and the cause of the accident will now be investigated by the police.
