Emsland District: Location Details - A person passes away due to burn injuries following a blaze in a drying facility.
A 34-year-old man lost his life due to severe burns after a fire occurred at a drying facility in Geeste, Emsland district. The employee was airlifted to a specialized clinic in Bochum using a rescue helicopter last week Tuesday. He passed away there as confirmed by the police on Monday.
Prior to this incident, two other employees, aged 29 and 30, suffered minor injuries during the fire. The fire department responded promptly with a large team of responders. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, mentioned a police spokeswoman.
