A pastor stands in the way of a Bible thief

An alleged 22-year-old man is believed to have climbed over a barrier to reach the altar in Ulm's Münster Cathedral. A pastor spotted the man and acted swiftly.

A man allegedly attempted to steal a Bible from Ulm's Munster cathedral. The 22-year-old climbed over a barrier to reach the altar and grab the Bible, police reported. A pastor witnessed this, confronted the man, and retrieved the Bible.

Police later arrested the man near the cathedral. He was reportedly in possession of additional stolen items, including a golden crucifix with a Jesus figure. The origin of the crucifix remains unknown.

The man who attempted to steal the Bible was from Ulm. After his arrest, police found more stolen items, including a golden crucifix, in Ulm's area.
