Engage in Labor - A new strike at City-Bahn Chemnitz will occur starting on Friday.

The Chemnitz City-Bahn (CBC) will be experiencing yet another strike from the Locomotive Drivers' Union. Starting Friday at 5:00 PM and lasting until Monday, June 17 at 5:00 AM, this strike has been announced by the GDL. This already marks the 15th day of actions by the union. The center of the conflict is the introduction of a 35-hour workweek.

The GDL's federal chairman, Claus Weselsky, stated, "We're ready to resume negotiations if the CBC presents a genuine proposal that includes a gradual transition to a 35-hour workweek without a pay cut and an appropriate wage increase based on market standards."
