In the Karwendel Mountains, close to Mittenwald (Garmisch-Partenkirchen district), a young mountaineer was discovered deceased. The 19-year-old, hailing from the Erlangen-Höchstadt area, had experienced a tragic fall while scaling the Viererspitze region. He had vanished without a trace since Tuesday evening, yet his body was found seven hours into Wednesday, according to the police. The search team, consisting of mountain rescue personnel, a Bundeswehr helicopter, and two police mountain guides, had been scouring the area. As of now, the police are investigating the cause of the accident, speculating it may have been a solo incident.
