The day before, the district court had issued an arrest warrant. Early on Wednesday morning, law enforcement officers succeeded in locating and capturing the individual. At around 4 a.m. on Friday, several fires broke out in Friedrichsort. These included four burning garbage containers. The fire department was also called to a nearby scene where a burning carport had erupted into flames. The parked car and shed beneath the carport had been fully consumed by the flames, leaving only rubble behind. An adjacent residence sustained some damage as well.

The suspect, believed to be responsible for the series of fires in Kiel's Friedrichsort area, was driving a car when he was apprehended by the police. The fire department had to put out several fires in the early hours of Friday, including burning garbage containers and a carport that led to the destruction of a parked car and shed. Despite the efforts of the authorities, arson seems to be the likely cause of these crimes as they occurred in the same district where the man was detained in Schleswig-Holstein. With their determination to bring justice, the police are conducting a thorough investigation into the series of fires.
