A 86-year-old man ended up crashing into a house wall in Hassloch, Landkreis Bad Dürkheim causing his death. As per the authorities and cops, on Monday, this elderly man accidentally pressed the pedals for gas and brake at the same time in his vehicle. Hoping to stop in front of a garage, he intended to get out. However, due to a fault in his automatic transmission, his car moved slightly back. This shocked him and he tried to apply the brakes. Unfortunately, he ended up pressing the gas pedal, causing the car to dramatically crash into a house wall on the other side. The elderly man was later extracted from the car and was rushed to the hospital where he passed away on Tuesday, due to the severity of his injuries.

The accident took place at a house in Hassloch, which is located in the Rhineland-Palatinate region. The public prosecutor's office is now investigating the incident. Despite the efforts of the emergency services, the car was heavily damaged as it crashed into the house wall.
