On Tuesday night, a massive fire erupted in the industrial sector of Morsum. The conflagration, encompassing thousands of square meters, nearly reduced the area to ashes, as per police records.
By Wednesday morning, the firefighting operations concluded successfully. Thankfully, there were no reported casualties, the police informed. However, details regarding the cause of the fire were initially withheld. The police have initiated an inquiry. Simultaneously, the fire department highlighted that over 350 firefighters, technical support, police, and German Red Cross personnel were engaged throughout the entire operation.
