Saxon Switzerland and Eastern Ore Mountains: Two Beautiful Regions - A lorry trailer is burning on the A17, resulting in a temporary road block.

A truck driver was on his way out of Heidenholz's parking lot when his colleague spotted flames shooting up from the trailer. Moments later, the whole truck-trailer combo was ablaze. Thankfully, no one was hurt during this unfortunate event. However, the cause of the sparks is still a mystery, said a police representative on Tuesday morning.

The fire brought about a thick cloud of smoke near the parking lot entrance, causing the A17 to be blocked in both directions for approximately half an hour. It took an additional two and a half hours for the lane leading to Prague to reopen. The cost of repairing the damages is estimated to be around 20,000 euros.
