In Gaza City on April 13, 2022, Hamas head Yahya Sinwar presides over a gathering with key figures from Palestinian political parties, held within his office premises.

A Israeli authority proposes securing passage for October 7 architect Yahya Sinwar in exchange for captured individuals.

Gal Hirsch, Israel's Hostage and Missing Coordinator, shared with CNN's Jessica Dean on Sunday, that if the remaining 101 hostages are safely returned, there's a possibility that Israel might establish a secure passageway for the chief terrorist, Sinwar - the new Hitler-figure, as referred to by Hirsch. This passageway would also allow Sinwar to bring along anyone who wishes to accompany him out of Gaza.

Hirsch revealed that such a move, coupled with the demilitarization and deradicalization of Gaza, could potentially bring an end to the ongoing conflict.

Expanding on his proposition in an interview with Bloomberg, Hirsch expressed his readiness to facilitate safe passage for Sinwar, his family, and anyone who wishes to join him. He emphasized the importance of returning the hostages, achieving demilitarization, and establishing a new Gaza management system.

Hirsch revealed that this proposition was made just over a day and a half ago, but chose not to disclose the response he received. He indicated that Israel might be willing to part with prisoners as part of a deal.

CNN has attempted to contact Hamas for their response to Hirsch's proposition and has also sought comment from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office.

Sinwar, a prominent Hamas figure, is accused by Israel of masterminding the October 7 massacre in Israel, during which over 1,200 people were brutally murdered and over 250 individuals were taken hostage. He is also among the Hamas leaders indicted by US prosecutors in relation to the deadly attack.

Hamas officially announced Sinwar as the head of its political bureau last month, shortly after the assassination of the former political bureau head and top negotiator, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran.

It is believed that Sinwar continues to elude capture, moving furtively through the labyrinth of tunnels beneath Gaza, and possibly using hostages as human shields, according to US intelligence sources. Sinwar has not been spotted in public since the October 7 massacre.

Hirsch's proposal to facilitate safe passage for Sinwar and his companions could potentially lead to the release of hostages in the Middle East, as he mentioned during his interview with Bloomberg. If such a deal is reached, it could potentially have significant implications for the conflict in Gaza and the wider world.

Gal Hirsch featured on CNN on the 8th of September, Sunday.
