A good omen? Tapir oracle Theo picks Germany

Tapir Theo in Münster has so far been a total failure as a European Championship oracle. He has got all the Germany games wrong so far. Now he's betting on black, red and gold. Is that a good sign?

European Football Championship - A good omen? Tapir oracle Theo picks Germany

Now it happened: Theo, the lowland tapir from the zoo in Münster, was the first time to bet on a German win in the EM-semi final match Germany-Denmark. The tapir was extremely focused on the black-red-golden football and started to eat it, a spokesperson of the zoo in Münster stated on Friday. The Danish food competition was completely ignored by the tapir.

But is that a good sign? After all, Theo was always wrong with his tips and had to deal with the accusation of being the worst EM oracle of all times. Intensive talks before the tip might have influenced the animal to finally pick a winner, suggested a zoo spokesperson. "Or everything is different and Germany is out."

Theo's prediction for the German soccer team in the European Football Championship semi-finals took place in North Rhine-Westphalia, specifically at the zoo in Münster. The tapir showed no interest in the Danish food offerings, indicating his support for Germany in the Round of 16 match. Regrettably, Theo's track record in soccer predictions hasn't been positive, earning him the title of the worst European Football Championship oracle.
