A four-year-old boy fell into a approximately three meter deep water cistern in the Bavarian district of Günzburg - and remained unharmed. The boy was on the property of a friend in Burtenbach, as the police reported.

On the way to feed the chickens, he stepped over the cistern lid. However, on Saturday it was not completely on the shaft due to a water pump. The boy fell into the cistern where the water was more than one meter high. He held himself onto the pump cable.

Together with the fire department and the 49-year-old neighbor, the child was rescued from the shaft. Fortunately, the Four-year-old was not injured. He was taken to a children's clinic as a precaution.

The incident occurred in the District of Günzburg, specifically in Burtenbach. The boy's mother was notified of the emergency immediately. Due to the location being in Swabia, Bavaria, the local fire department was swift in responding.
