Redo: Reimagining the procedure: - A former choir employee is facing charges in court for taking nude photos of young boys.
A previous staff member of the Augsburg Cathedral Boys' Choir needs to show up in court on Thursday (13:30) to clear themselves of secretly filming nude members of the choir. The man, who is 26 years old, was once an assistant with the Catholic Boys' Choir and is being accused of recording kids and adolescents in showers and restrooms nine different times. Moreover, it is claimed that he abused a 13-year-old by rubbing himself against the sleeping body of a young child. This act reportedly took place while the child was sleeping at the choir member's residence.
These supposed offences allegedly happened between 2017 and 2020, since then the man has relocated to Dresden and no longer works at the choir. He came to the attention of the authorities due to an overseas tip, with a search of his home following concerns of owning child pornography. According to the Bamberg General Public Prosecutor's Office, videos involving children were also discovered on his devices.
The renowned boys' choir is a symbol of excellence under the Augsburg diocese.
