The Thuringian Ministry of Education is now accepting funding applications for the expansion of all-day care at primary and comprehensive schools. They made this announcement on Monday in Erfurt. A total of 111 million euros has been made available, with 100 million coming from the federal government and the state, and the remaining 11 million from the sponsors themselves. Education Minister Helmut Holter (Left) stated that there is a legal entitlement for all-day care in the primary school stage in Thuringia. "Our state has been leading the way in providing full-day care in the primary school stage," said Holter. "We're determined to continue working with sponsors to further improve the quality of primary and community schools to increase the availability of all-day care, while other federal states are still catching up."

Applications can be submitted until the end of 2027. Eligible organizations include 33 state school sponsors and 52 sponsors of schools in free sponsorship.
