A fight between roommates ends in death

A dispute between two roommates in Zweibrücken ended fatally for one of them. As the police reported, the 26-year-old was found with severe injuries in his apartment and died shortly thereafter at the scene.

Initial findings suggest that he got into an argument with his 45-year-old roommate on Wednesday afternoon. During the altercation, the men allegedly injured each other with stabbing weapons, it was reported. The 26-year-old succumbed to his injuries in the apartment. The other man was found lying outside a residential building with bleeding wounds by witnesses, according to police. Emergency services attended to him.

The criminal police have launched an investigation. The circumstances and exact sequence of events are still unclear.

The police statement clarified that "The following is added: the 45-year-old roommate was also taken into custody after being found outside the residential building." Following the investigation, it was found that "The following is added: stabbing weapons were found at the scene, believed to have been used during the altercation."
