According to the Royal Bahamas Police Force, a want poster was distributed without specifying the conditions leading to her disappearance or whether any shady activities are suspected.

Authorities, as well as the yoga retreat, have been contacted by CNN for a comment regarding this matter.

At this point, Casey’s family is desperate for public assistance in locating her and pleads with anyone who has information to contact the Bahamian police.

Casey's mother, Colette Seymore, shared her concerns in a statement posted on a Facebook group dedicated to finding Casey. "We are deeply worried about Taylor's safety and well-being," she said. "We miss her dearly and want her back home."

Casey, a seasoned yoga practitioner for 15 years, attended the retreat to intensify her skills, according to the family's statement.

Seymore believes her daughter might be in danger because Casey was enthusiastic about sharing her retreat experience with others upon her return.

"Taylor wouldn't suddenly vanish," Seymore added in a brief conversation with CNN. She's scheduled to depart for the Bahamas on Tuesday and declined to comment further.

CNN has attempted to contact a family representative for additional information.

Casey has been described as a Black woman with a medium complexion, standing about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing around 145 pounds. She has brown hair, usually covered with a durag, and brown eyes.

The US State Department issued a Level 2 travel advisory for Americans visiting the Bahamas in January. The advisory urged caution due to the high crime rate, primarily on the islands of Grand Bahama and New Providence – the island where Casey was last seen. The advisory also warned that both tourist and non-tourist areas are affected by violence, burglaries, armed robberies, and sexual assaults.

This report includes contributions from CNN's Carlos Suarez and Elizabeth Wolfe.
