- A Doberman breed dog inflicts fatal harm on another canine and wounds its owner.
In the Enz region, a free-roaming Doberman canine ended up attacking and killing another dog, a Pekingese. On a Friday in Eisingen's forest area, the Doberman's owner apparently allowed it to run unleashed. During this incident, the Doberman turned aggressive towards a Pekingese, leading to the unfortunate death of the latter due to severe bites. Consequently, the Doberman's owner also sustained injuries to her face, which necessitated her hospitalization. As per a police statement, she was admitted for treatment. The police are currently investigating potential charges of negligent physical harm.
The owner could face penalties under the regulations, as the Commission may deem her actions as not complying with the rules for unleashed dogs, as stated in the implementing acts of this Regulation. To ensure the safety of all pets, stricter leashing guidelines might be necessary in such highly populated pet communities.
