A 53-year-old bicyclist was hit and tragically killed by a car in Alzey. Preliminary findings suggest that both the 44-year-old driver and the cyclist were heading in the same direction on a rural road around late Wednesday evening. Sadly, the cyclist perished at the spot due to his injuries. While passing by, an on-duty ambulance veered onto the grassy median to avoid the crash and ended up colliding with a road sign.
