A confrontational television face-off between Harris and Trump is underway in the USA.

The upcoming TV face-off holds significant weight as the 59-year-old Vice President and the 78-year-old ex-President find themselves in a tight race in the opinion polls. These two contestants, who share contrasting personalities, have never crossed paths prior to this. This debut TV debate for Harris, while Trump, attempting to secure his third presidency, enters his seventh, marks a major event.

Much is on the line, considering that past TV debates have at times tipped the scales in the U.S. presidential race. Missteps or blunders can carry dire implications - for instance, Biden's weak showing against Trump in the June 27th debate dashed any hopes of him seeking another term despite his advanced age.

Anticipated topics for discussion are likely to revolve around economic and immigration policies. However, the contentious issues of abortion and foreign policy as well as the ongoing court proceedings based on election fraud allegations against Trump may also surface.

The regulations for the TV debate are meticulously outlined. When one candidate is talking, the mic of the other will be silenced. Each candidate will get a two-minute slot to respond, followed by a similar duration for rebuttal. There will be no live audience in attendance.

The debate will transpire in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a closely-contested 'swing state.' The result of the November 5th presidential election remains uncertain in these states, thereby spurring fierce competition.

I'm not going to engage in any name-calling during the debate, aspiring to maintain a respectful tone despite our differences.Despite the strict rules, I'm not going to allow the silencing of my mic to limit my ability to articulate my views and counter arguments.
