Books and written works are known as literature. - A compilation of exclusive images captured during the production of a James Bond film.

After three years since Daniel Craig's last portrayal of James Bond, the hunt for a new actor to take on the spy role has yet to commence. It might be a while before a successor is found, and a fresh 007 film is produced. In the 60s and 70s, this occurred at a much faster speed. In 1974, for instance, only three years after Sean Connery's departure, the second James Bond film, with Roger Moore as the sophisticated secret agent, premiered. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of "The Man with the Golden Gun," a new book dives into the movie's behind-the-scenes.

UK James Bond expert and collector Chris Distin, residing in Lower Saxony for quite some time, acquired confidential snaps from French actor Hervé Villechaize's estate for "James Bond - Golden Gun On Location." Villechaize, who passed away in 1993, played Nick Nack, Scaramanga's henchman, in "The Man with the Golden Gun."

"Hervé Villechaize was a multi-talented individual, displaying his skills not only in front of the camera but also behind it. He was a painter and photographer," Distin mentioned, specified as the owner of an extensive collection of original props from the 007 films. "During the filming of 'The Man with the Golden Gun,' he took several photographs. I was fortunate to receive these photographs years after Hervé's death from his partner Kathy Self."

The pictures, taken in Thailand, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and at the British Pinewood Studios, present a unique and frequently personal perspective on the production of the ninth James Bond adventure. Villechaize's camera also captured the creation of one of 007's most iconic stunts, the curved car jump. This 240-page hardcover book also includes shots of the cast and crew during routine days at work or post-work hangouts.

To highlight this, author Distin interviewed several supporting actors and extras. The foreword is penned by the Swedish actress Maud Adams, who took over the role of Scaramanga's unfortunate girlfriend in "The Man with the Golden Gun." What sets "James Bond - Golden Gun On Location" apart is its incorporation of Augmented Reality. When using a free smartphone app, interviews and other clips can be played when the phone is waved over the book. "James Bond - Golden Gun On Location" is now available for purchase.
