A young girl of four was struck by a vehicle on a Sunday afternoon in Weißenfels, leading to her being airlifted to a hospital. Initially, the girl and her two friends were standing on a traffic island along Merseburger Straße when she suddenly stepped onto the road with a roller, according to the police's report on Monday. The driver, a 76-year-old man, was heading toward the town exit when he hit the child, despite braking. The severity of the girl's injuries was unknown at the time of the police's report. Fortunately, the driver and her two companions were unharmed in the event.

The accident involving the child and the vehicle took place in the traffic of Weißenfels, Saxony-Anhalt. Due to the severity of her injuries, a helicopter was needed to transport her to the hospital.
