During the night between Thursday and Friday, authorities in Voerde am Niederrhein became aware of a dangerous discovery - a bomb left over from the Second World War. The control room of the Kreis Wesel sent out numerous alerts via the KATWARN and BIWAPP apps, advising locals of the impending danger. To ensure the safety of all those affected, everyone living within 300 meters of the find had to evacuate their homes. A refuge was quickly set up to house those displaced from their properties.
